For ten years, I ran The Wet Nose Project, a dog walking, training, and boarding business just outside Boston. I moved down to Awendaw, South Carolina in 2023 and kept the business going remotely — but somewhere in there, the old dogs stole my heart.

Losing two of my own seniors in the last few years — Peanut at 17, and Gunnar at nearly 15 — made something click. The trust of an old dog, the slow mornings, the extra care they deserve: that's where I was always meant to be. So I started Salt & Gray.

It's small-scale boarding out of my home, plus walks and drop-in visits — everything designed around senior dogs and their routines. Soft beds, meds on schedule, all the sniff breaks they want, and never any rushing.

And if your dog hasn't reached their gray years yet — good news. Our Junior Varsity program for younger pups is on its way.

I share my home with my fiancé, Will, and our two dogs, Crüe and Huckleberry — so your pup gets a real home, not a kennel, plus a proper meet-and-greet before any stay.
